Ramon Hernandez Could be moving to #2

Postby mikhayl » Tue Apr 11, 2006 10:07 am

Ramon Hernandez has started hot and it looks like he may be moving up. I always wondered why he was so low in the lineup and I hope he settles into the 6 position permanently, but i'd definitely take 2 as well.

Hernandez has hit in a few spots this year, all of which have been in the bottom of the lineup. He's hit eighth and ninth twice each, and seventh once. Perlozzo said that he has even tinkered with the idea of moving Hernandez up to the No. 2 spot.

"Just to get him up more often," he said. "But we'll see how it goes. We've got some guys that are not hitting yet, and there are some guys that are hitting. We'll try to get those guys up a little bit more.
