Reitsma had 'A' blown save and he is struggling? 'A' as in singular??? Wagner has 'A' blown save too. You gonna pick up his back-up?

I doubt Reitsma will last all season but he has ONE blown save so far.

Yes, that's true...but, it's ONE blown save...I think Reitsma will continue to get more shots down the road...of course if he continues his craptacular pitching (like yesterday), then maybe Villareal should get in there. But we need to see how Reitsma responds first.

That P.O.S. Villareal cheated Thomson out of a win (Francoeur didn't help either with his excellent fielding). I was making a WW start out of Thomson and knew when he came out after the 5th Villareal would blow it. Thomson pitched an excellent game only to have Villareal screw him over. Villareal now has 3 "wins", what a loser. <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>

I grabbed Oscar as well just in time for his 3rd win. Unfortunately, he blew his 2nd Save. If he converted both, he would be closer to supplanting Reitsma. Doesn't help that he doesn't get a lot Ks.

He's good to have bc ATL starting pitching is suffering right now.

I dumped Reitsma the other day for Villarreal and he's got me 2 wins so far. Reitsma isn't going to have some magical season all of a sudden. And if I had to choose the odds of him either getting better or worse, I think he'll get worse. You should pick up Villarreal. His stuff is much more suited to be in a closing role..

hmm...the rule for closers that I follow is who HAS the job at the moment, not who WILL or MIGHT have the job in the future. I think you dropped Reitsma prematurely in this case...i believe 2 of 3 wins oscar has vultured actually comes from blown saves which doesnt really help his case to be the closer. and since joey is sent down to minors, its really reitsma that has the job right now and is looking more secure than before..now if you didnt care about straight up Saves, and wanted to improve ratios, i think there are tons of other relievers that you can find in the WW/FA pool.

I very much disagree with everyone about Reitsma. I'm not sure why everyone is so down on him. I'm not saying he's elite, but the job is his and will remain his until he has a meltdown (which I don't foresee).
