Rate my re-tooled team

[2nd half beast?]

I'm in a 11 team roto league and recently made a blockbuster trade. I now have:

C Varitek
1B Giambi
2B Boone
3B Glaus
SS Nomar
OF Berkman, Jenkins, Baldelli
Ut ????
B Mondesi

SP Maddux, Brown, Pineiro, Santana, Ru.Hernandez
RP Hasegawa, Worrell, Valverde, Sasaki, Leskanic


Following the trade, I have 2 open slots, with Sasaki on the DL. Should I look for another closer? Our league also counts Holds. Who can I get for Utility (keeping in mind most 1st tier players are not available)? My team is lagging behind in SB (which is why I got Baldelli), Average, OPS, Ks, and Holds.

I think your OPS/Average lag can be attributed to slow starts from Giambi, Glaus, and Berkman. I don't think Mondesi is worth holding in an 11 team league. Don't know who is available on the wire so hard to give any suggestions.

I think I would try to sell high on Brown before he gets hurt (too late I guess, but you might still get good value for him) and I don't think Maddux will turn it around in the second half. Did you just trade a closer away? You don't list saves as an area where you need help, but Worrell and Sasaki aren't enough to keep you in it. Be ready to jump on new closers as trades are announced, I don't know what to tell you on holds, I don't play that.
