I guess this is good news. But how long do people think he will be out? I play in a weekly change league. Should I play him this week?

Probably looking at 2 weeks on the DL... But expect him to be a little slow for the next 6 weeks or so. He'll have the ankle taped pretty tight when he comes back, so don't expect a lot of extra base hits for a few weeks... good news is, it's not a long term problem assuming he doesn't reinjure it.

Hoping he gets put on the DL quick so I can pick up Betemit. Or should I drop Larue (my current DL spot) for him? There's really no better catchers on the WW unfortunately.

Chipper Jones Injury Update

Updating an ongoing story, David O'Brien, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Braves 3B Chipper Jones (ankle, knee) not only sprained his right ankle Sunday, April 9, but also twisted his knee. Jones will be re-evaluated Monday, April 10, and will likely miss at least a couple of games. No MRI exams have been scheduled
Why are they postponing an MRI? Today will tell the story I'm sure.

Rotoworld-

Atlanta - It seems that Chipper Jones’ ankle/leg injury sustained Sunday wasn’t as severe as it first appeared. The safe play would be to bench him in mixed leagues this week, but it’s possible that he’ll be back as soon as Wednesday. Wilson Betemit would have quite a bit of fantasy value in the unlikely event that Chipper ends up on the DL. …
