Hank Aaron and Ty Cobb.

Yeah, I like just throwing up random guesses. You can't lose them all, eh? :->

Cobb is a good guess, but he only picked up one triple crown, which shows how difficult this feat is. Aaron never won one; in fact, the last time any NL player accomplished this was in '37.

You're right, though, that the two players you're looking for are all-time greats, and thinking about players with high batting averages (like Cobb) is also on the right track...

Woot! It was just a matter of time. ;-) I saw Rogers' name and number painted on the stands in St. Louis the other night, and when Chip Caray and Joe Carter started talking about the Cardinals' retired numbers, it clicked. :-D

Cool! Sounds like the detective in a tv movie seeing something on his day off and thereby figuring out whodunit (or is that a cliché, Inspector Styles?).

Heh, heh, heh. Very funny...

Maybe you'll see something like that to help out on the 30-30 question. ;-7 I've been hoping for more guesses on that one. I have some more hints to give, but don't want to give it away too quickly...
