Does Nixon benefit from this now? I guess he no longer platoons and the platoon becomes Stern-Pena.

If the Red Sox call up Mohr (as expected), he will platoon with Nixon.

"Coco has a non-displaced fracture at the base of his left index finger," said Dr. Thomas Gill. "He will be placed in a splint for 10 days and reevaluated at that time. Once sufficient healing has occurred, Coco can begin batting and return to baseball activities. No surgery is indicated at this time." Crisp is expected to go on the DL, but it appears possible that he'll make it back within a month. Adam Stern and Wily Mo Pena will replace him in center field, and Dustan Mohr should be called up to replace him on the roster, with both Pena and Mohr drawing starts against lefies. Stern will probably lead off when he plays, making him a fine short-term option in AL-only leagues. Kevin Youkilis needs to be in the leadoff spot when Pena gets the nod.

It looks like he will be out about a month.

Yahoo hasn't listed him as DL yet. Why do they take so long?

Before today's game he will go on the DL. The Red Sox didn't need to make a roster move, so they haven't. But they will today.
