draft position = 5th ; [#] = round picked in the draft
Take a look at this squad...
C- Posada [23rd] (if I'm gonna make any moves this season, most will probably come at this position picking the hot bat)
1B- Helton [4th]
2B- Cantu [8th] (my only "reach" pick IMO; I could have picked M. Giles)
3B- A. Ramirez [7th]
SS- Rollins [6th]
LF- Crawford [2nd]
CF- Bay [3rd]
RF- B. Giles [9th]
Util- Hafner [11th]
BN- Lu. A. Gonzalez [22nd] (his versatility probably don't mean much in a shallow league but oh well... lol)
this is where it gets interesting...
SP- Dempster [14th]
SP- Papelbon [21st]
SP- Heilman [20th]
SP- McCarthy [19th]
RP- Nathan [5th]
RP- Turnbow [13th]
RP- Wickman [15th]
RP- Gordon [17th]
BN- Liriano [18th], Jo. Santana [1st], Smoltz [9th], F. Hernandez [10th], Haren [16th]
Since it's daily lineup changes and with categories such as K/9 and HLD, I drafted young studs that are both SP & RP eligible in the late rounds to rack up as many pitching stats in a given week. I also set my team up for the 2nd half of the season if/when any of them become starters for their respective teams.
