Do I have this league won on draft night?

Util- Hafner [11th]
BN- Lu. A. Gonzalez [22nd] (his versatility probably don't mean much in a shallow league but oh well... lol)

this is where it gets interesting...
SP- Dempster [14th]
SP- Papelbon [21st]
SP- Heilman [20th]
SP- McCarthy [19th]
RP- Nathan [5th]
RP- Turnbow [13th]
RP- Wickman [15th]
RP- Gordon [17th]
BN- Liriano [18th], Jo. Santana [1st], Smoltz [9th], F. Hernandez [10th], Haren [16th]

Since it's daily lineup changes and with categories such as K/9 and HLD, I drafted young studs that are both SP & RP eligible in the late rounds to rack up as many pitching stats in a given week. I also set my team up for the 2nd half of the season if/when any of them become starters for their respective teams.

It's a killer team in a 5x5, no doubt. I just wonder what your scoring cats are and how that will affect this team, especially if someone like Hafner dropped to the 11th round.

pitching cats: IP W L CG SHO SV HR BB K WP GIDP HLD ERA WHIP K/9

as you can see, it IS crazy scoring...

the only reason I was considering M. Giles over Cantu is because Giles is a better bet for more runs and less errors; however, I'm gambling on Cantu's upside

DH's have minimal value in this scoring format -- that's mostly the reason why I got Hafner that low

You have a great roster. My only suggestions would be to consider dropping Heilman for Verlander or Madson if either is available.

You obviously have an outstanding team. My only advice is that you can always improve. You can afford to drop heilman and a couple other pitchers on your bench for other pitchers (or batters for that matter) who step it up as the season progresses.

Your team is stacked with potential. I would agree if you are going to make a move anywhere it should be at catchter. Also I know Santana, Hernandez and Haren are great but I would worry about how many wins they are going to get on teams that are a little offensively challenged.

only thing I would consider is dropping heilman and getting a back up bat in the OF. nice team!
