I'm in a 12 team 5 by 5 head to head league. I've been hanging onto a slim-lead for first all season. My pitching has been dominant as of late, but my hitters are pretty mediocre. Do you guys think I should trade for more hitters, or hit tight? Help me out with this, and i'll try to look at your team.

C: Lo Duca
1B: Gibbons
2B: Kent
SS: A Rod
3B: Lowell
OF: Ichiro
Abreu
Ibanez
Util: Furcal
SP: P. Martinez
Halladay
Mulder
Hudson
Oswalt
Santana
Jerome Williams
Glavine
Lackey
RP: Guardado
Rivera
Sasaki

Thanks guys.

nice team... not sure how long kent is out for.. but i would see if guardado has any value.. i don't think his arm is what it used to be..pick up a short term secondbaseman and go from there..you should be solid... always check that waver wire...that's how i picked up podsednik and jerome williams.

Your offense will light up after the break. I would try and trade Furcal and Ibanez for a stud. Lowell,AROD,Ichiro,Kent, is nothing to be ashamed about. This is my roster. I am in first, by like 10 pts. in a 5X5 12 team yahoo league. Lately no one has been producing that great. I tried to give up mora for a decent o.k. 2nd baseman. No one wanted him. 3 out of the 5 closer are waiver wire work. I really dont want Chacon to come back becuase I might have to drop Hinske.

C-Posada
1st-Delgado
2nd-Catalanotto
SS-Furcal
3rd-Hinske
OF-G. Anderson
OF-Puljos
OF-Jenkins
Ult-Mora
Bench-T. Bautista-Posednik
SP-Santana
SP-Milwood
SP-Webb
SP-D.Wells
SP-J. Williams
RP-Cordero
RP-Gordon
RP-Hasegawa
RP-Benitez
RP-Baez
DL-Chacon

With a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever. Always thinking that just behind some narrow door in all of his favorite bars, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things he'll never know.

Your team looks pretty solid besides 2nd and 3rd base. Would it really be that much of a loss if you had to drop Hinske? Hinske was kind of a bust before he got injured, and I see the Jays falling in the 2nd half. I would continue trying to shop Mora or someone else for an improvement at 2nd or 3rd. Nice pickups on Santana and Williams. I see both of those guys having stellar 2nd halves.

Thanks for the advice... I see that you can definitely improve at 2nd. I'm not a big Eric Young fan, but I guess there's probably not alot of quality on the market at 2nd. I think you should get Hidalgo out of your utility spot, but I dont think any of the guys on your bench are the answer. Is someone like Burnitz, Podsednik, or maybe Bobby Kielty available to fill that hole? I like your pitching overall, but you may want to consider trading off a starter for another quality closer.
