Beltre has rough birthday Updated 4/8/06
Beltre, Adrian 3B SEA
News: Seattle got a scare in the eighth inning Friday when Adrian Beltre was hit on the right wrist sliding into second as Scutaro attempted to turn a double play. X-rays on Beltre's wrist were negative. He was 0-for-2 with a walk on his 27th birthday. Analysis: The Mariners will find out Saturday if they will miss third baseman Adrian Beltre for any substantial period of time. "At first I thought it was broken," Beltre said. "But after two or three minutes I started to feel a tingle there, and after a while I was able to move my fingers. Beltre doesn't easily come out of games. If he can play he will. But it's not clear that he'll be able to play, even though an X-ray showed no broken bones.
