David Wright: NL MVP?

The Mets, if you haven't noticed, are running rampant this year. They've had six steals in the first four games (tied for the league lead, and without getting caught) and Willie's been quite trigger-happy in the past with Reyes, Beltran, and Wright.

I'd personally put 30 SB's well within reach (although far from definite) for Wright.

From his Yahoo News&Notes:

"Apr 13 Wright went 3-for-5 with his third homer of the season in the Mets' 13-4 win over the Washington Nationals on Thursday. New York banged out 16 hits -- four of those home runs -- and moved to 7-1 on the season.
Advice: Wright continues to be a fantasy stud in his third big league season. The 23-year-old New York third baseman is hitting a ridiculous .469 in 2006 with 12 RBIs in eight games and is yet to strike out in 32 at-bats. "

8-o 8-o 8-o ;-D :-D

It's still early but pretty intriguing...

I've been saying this but he looks like a young Chipper Jones at the plate. Great eye, power, speed and comes through in big spots. Except Wright is a great defensive player.

He's going to be a superstar if he can stay healthy.

He's looking pretty good in the 5 hole so far. He's getting as many RBI opportunities in the 5 compared to the 3, if not more.

Beltran and Delgado directly in front of you > Reyes and LoDuca IMO

Lee and Pujols have each K'ed 4 times. The Mets have got to be getting tired of pounding the poor Nats though? While batting over .400 is nice, the no K is really pretty neat in a guy who's only 23.

Not quite but he might be someday. His reaction needs to improve but I wouldn't put it past him if he won a Gold Glove one day. His work ethic is ridiculous.
