I fail to understand the Freel hype. The man offers zip except for SBs. A poor man's Scott Pods. What is the big deal? I agree he should be starting over Blowack, but that is not saying a whole lot.

Of course you are right, he offers nothing, just a .467 average and 1.267 OPS along with great fielding and baserunning that brings you a ton of extra runs.

Hi, it's April 12th, and Freel's a career .278 hitter with a .753 OPS, so let's not try and use the statistics from 14 at bats as a hinge in our argument here...
