You didn't have to watch Womack all last year. He's terrible. I said it during drafts and I'll say it again. There's no way Womack keeps that starting job past mid-May. He might get a few spot starts every 4th day against righties. I'm pretty confident in not only Freel's ability to earn the job, but in Womack's ability to lose it. What a scrub.

Trading for him right now is a bad idea... buy low, sell high.

Don't trade for someone when their value is at its peak.

Everyone at my draft laughed at me for taking Freel in the 12th. They laughed last year too when I took Roberts in the 12th ;-D

The best part about him for me is that now I can trade Pods for a real OF. There is really no way Cincy can justify not starting him 5 out of every 6 games.

Tony Womack = Mike Lowell. Cooked.
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

Aurilia's great at the plate, but he's not anywhere near the 2nd basemen that Freel is. Aurilia's got a weak arm and average range. He should be starting at first.

Hatteberg should be worried about a lineup spot. Not Freel.

As a Freel owner from last year, I can tell you the Reds have had some strange hard-on for Aurilia for some time, and he should be every bit as concerning re: playing time as Womack.

Hence these old threads from last year like the 'I hate Aurilia' fan club. Some things never change. :-b

I don't know why my thread about Freel was moved, but here is my opinion from Wednesday:

Freel gets his 3rd SB, you can say he forced an error at 2nd and thanks to it immediately runs to 3rd. Then he scores on a groundout.

HELL! F*** THE REDS MANAGER! If Freel is not good enough to play for the below-the-average Cincinnati team, than who IS?

I really don't understand why the zero called HATTEBERG still is allowed to suck at the Reds' 1st base. The situation is very clear and easy to solve: get Hatteberg out of the lineup, move the extremely weak outfielder Dunn back to his 1st base and put Freel into the outfield every day. Freel's speed would be a big help in the outfield just as it is on the bases.

I don't know what's up with that Reds staff.

Maybe they are afraid his body can't handle playing every day...didn't he get hurt just playing sporadically last year as it was? :-?

Yes, he's a fantasy goldmine, but the managers (supposedly) know stuff that we might not. :-/
