He's can be dominating at times, and just blow up and have a stretch of terrible games. He's usually a slow starter but had success against the yanks in 04' when he had his big year
Hopefully he's in 04' form

All I know is that I started D. Cabrera and Escobar both tonight, as a risk, and Escobar is really mitigating all damage done by Cabrera. I dropped Cabrera for Seo, however.

You shouldn't have dropped Cabrera. I know he had a bad game but the guy can be a monster when he has control. Enter: Leo Mazzone.
I dropped him for Seo, who is projected by all the "experts" to have a better season (although not as many K's).
Even if Cabrera gets 3 no-hitters, what's the benefit if he pitches 5 more games like tonight? Enter Maz? That means he will be tinkering with his style and experimenting --- too dangerous for me.
Duh. I think that is obvious. But taking a couple educated risks is what brings home the championships.
I took the risk on him. I don't view it a risk. He is healthy again he has great stuff. I also got him for a small $5 price tag. Well worth the buy for a guy who could put up No. 1 or (more likely) No. 2 fantasy SP numbers. Heck, Matt Cain went for more than him at our draft ($6.....to me...another educated risk). So he was at a great value. At $12 or more....no longer a value worth the risk.

Don't get me wrong, I would have drafted the guy if I didn't think he was being overvalued (taken in the 10th round in my league), as I think he has great potential to be a superb fantasy starter. He was on my team last year, and his numbers (while he was there) really did help me. However, I have a hard time believing he won't get hurt again, he was supposed to be healthy when he came back last April, it turned out he wasn't. I decided not to waste a 10th rounder for Escobar, and waited a few rounds for Lee and Contreras.
I would've held on to Cabrera also but can't blame ya for getting rid of a risk. The Mazzone thing is so overrated as far as I'm concerned. I liked Cabrera going into this season regardless of his pitching coach. I'm being patient with him.
