I don't think anyone, including the Twins, thinks that Liriano isn't a much better option than Lohse. The problem is that Lohse won his arbitration last year and the Twins are stuck with him. I think they're hoping he can put together a few good starts and maybe they could trade him. But I agree: Liriano is throwing lightning bolts and can't be kept out of the rotation for long. In the meantime, I'll take his Ks and ratios in mid-relief (his SP eligibility means that I don't have to use a RP slot on him).
