I like Jeters #2 batting spot more than renteria's #6/#7. But in terms of raw fantasy skill renteria has more hitting ability and has more speed so when it's all said and done, I'd take renteria.
The key to Fantasy Sports is NOT about Sports but rather the "manipulation of numbers" in your favor

Jeter has shown that he has speed too. Do you think he'll start stealing soon, as long as his shoulder is ok?

Fair enough, but I wasn't the one who turned this into a Jeter being overrated thread. That being said, I did mention that I would rather have Renteria, because of the stolen bases, and because that lineup has been on fire all season. I will say, that the poll is a fair one, because I think most will give Jeter too little credit in terms of what he can do, and he will be much easier to trade for now than Edgar, and may well have similar production.
BTW, sometimes the topics in threads evolve from one subject to another very closely related subject. Talking about why Jeter is or isn't overrated is pretty relevant to the subject at hand. I'd rather pick on someone for not substantiating points like "Jeter is overrated" than for straying (not far mind you) from topic.

CBMGreatOne-
I see your point, but I don't want the thread to morph into an "Is Jeter Overrated" question, which would very likely happen. I encourage you to make a thread on that topic; I'm sure you will find many people that will argue with you over that issue
