Beane interview

Postby ramble2 » Thu Apr 06, 2006 11:41 am

I figured those perusing this forum might be interested, especially if you aren't in the Bay Area:

The Razor and Mr. T host a 3-7 pm radio talk show on KNBR 680, the big sports radio station in San Francisco. They aren't your typical rah-rah idiot hosts, but are pretty sharp and insightful. I think they are planning on interviewing Beane on a regular basis this season. This is an interview from yesterday that I caught parts of.

One interesting thing is listening to them talk to Beane about how this team is designed. The idea was to build depth into this years lineup, and construct a batting order 1-9 that can beat you, even without the big boppers (though Chavez and Thomas are nothing to sneeze at!).
"The game has a cleanness. If you do a good job, the numbers say so. You don't have to ask anyone or play politics. You don't have to wait for the reviews." - Sandy Koufax

Thanks! There was also a good interview recently on AN, if I remember right.
