There are no threads about him even in the hallowed halls of the cafe. Let me change that. I've had my eye on Kameron Loe for a while now. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see him pitch yesterday, but I did notice his line last night: 6.2 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, only 1 K. Not awesome, but considering it was in Texas against the Sox, I was impressed. He's a HUGE dude (6'7" 240) with a funky delivery. Also, his minor leaugue numbers weren't horrible. Any Texas fans out there with some insider insight???

The biggest thing to note about Loe's start last night is that he had 15 groundball outs, in that 6.2 innings. If he can continue to do that, he will do well this year. There's a lack of K's problem for fantasy purposes, but in real life he will be valuable.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Loe was a monster in MVP '05, which is clearly the best indicator of future performance.
Also, am I the only one who always pictures Nic Cage's character from Con Air when anyone talks about him? "Put the bunny back in the box!"
Anyways... he's another on that list of gigantic hard-tossers to watch out for along with Dan Cabrera and Chris Young. And you are right that he didn't get as much attention as either one of these guys, most likely due to the park he's in.
I not only knew about him, but had him on my team for a month or so last year. It was a 20 team league with 22 keepers. Unfortunately, I had to drop him and keep somebody else (Curtis Granderson). I agree in that he is a good pitcher. He is very valuable in my league because it has a lot more categories making strikeouts a smaller part of the equation.

I have no doubt that Loe can continue to get those GB outs. And, while I don't Think he'll be a top K guy, he was always in the 7-8 Ks per 9 in the minors. I think he can be in the 5.5-6 K/9 in the majors.
