I know it's very very early in the season but I'm just wondering how I can improve my team. The roster seems fairly stacked to me, but I know there is room for improvement (not to mention some DL issues). The league is only 8 teams so all teams have quite a few marquee players
1B - Jeff Kent
2B - Felipe Lopez
SS - Hanley Ramirez (temp fill in)
3B - Alex Rodriguez
OF - Bobby Abreu
OF - Jay Bay
OF - Johnny Damon
C - Victor Martinez
UT - Scott Podsednick
BN - R. Baldelli (hoping for a big year, add some speed)
BN - B. Crosby
DL - N. Garciaparra
SP - J. Smoltz
SP - J. Contrereas
RP - T. Gordon
RP - E. Gagne
P - D. Cabrera
P - J. Garland
P - D. Haren
BN - C. Sabathia (really hurt me first start, now on DL)
BN - C. Orvella (big prospect, currenty in minors but I know he will get picked up if I release him)
BN - B. Wickman
As soon as Nomar is healthy, I will put him at SS. Should he prove to be a flop or stay injured I will move F. Lopez to SS, Kent over to 2B, and possibly put Prince Fielder at 1B, or try L. Overbay.
Who would you guys deal to improve my team? Will Pods be a bust from injury, should I trade a power hitter for speed (Figgens?).
Also, how bad is my pitching? Is this the area I should look to improve? Maybe deal Gordon?
