Hi
What are your thoughts on punting holds in roto leagues? In doing this I can load up on 2 more starting pitchers and lose these mid relief guys (L Hawkins and Oscar whats his nuts on the Braves)
should I punt holds?
thanks

Not worth it to punt. Have 2 solid guys and you should place in the upper half

punting in roto is OK, but just not this early. if after 2-3 months you're doing poorly in something like SVs, SBs or Holds, there's no useaccumulating stats to stay in last or even second or third to last. especially for saves, deal one of your closers to someone in the middle of the pack in that category. that will generally create a cascading effect where you can extract beter value out of the next closer you deal b/c people with a shot at doing well in saves will pay to stay competetive in a skewed market. then just go pick up some stud RPs for ratios.
in your case the realtive value of pickiing up extra starters midseason depends on your IP limit and if there are any starters left on the WW that are worth a hoot.
TennCare rocks!!!!

You likely can pick up Holds guys from the wire, so why punt? There is nothing quite like spending time debatingthe value of Cotts vs Timlin (sarcasm).
