Well, us Gathright supporters can hope that Hollins played today because he hit 4/5 vs. Bedard last year. As y'all may know, Joe Maddon loves crunching numbers with computers and I almost expect him to know of that stat.
I wouldn't worry too much, though. Hollins has been a wreck defensively today. He messed up on a line drive and then took a step in on a ball that ended up over his head.
However, why the hell Ty Wigginton is playing dumbfounds me. Why isn't Huff at 3rd, which is supposed to be his position now, with one out of Joey and Hollins at DH?
