How can Kurt Cobain be called one of the "best vocalists ever" when nobody could understand what he was saying?
This sounds like all the people who really loved the way Bob Dylan sang - couldn't understand that guy either.
Both sounded like they had marbles in their mouths.
Still, I like both of their music, so take that with a grain of salt I guess.
Are you going by your own opinion or by what other people say. Ask any respected person in the music business and they will agree with me.

Argument could be made that you don't necessarily have to enunciate properly to be considered a great vocalist. I loved his voice.

You don't need other people to tell you what is good or bad music. Of course it's my opinion - but the fact that other people agree with me makes my opinion no more or less valid, nor no more nor less valid than your opinion. It’s just an opinion, and like certain body parts everyone has one.
