I vaguely remember reading somewhere to keep an eye on this kid. Well he's pitching well against houston as we speak.
6 innings 5K 3hits 1 walk. 0 runs.
Any info on this kid? His past numbers, although small samples, are none too impressive.

Good stuff, immature pitcher but someone to grab if he starts hot. He may keep it up the whole year and you have a 14 win 3.5 1.2 150k guy on your hands.
Bold Predictions:
Grady Sizemore will have more value than Jason Bay regardless of draft position
Aramis Ramirez in 155 G will hit over .300 40 HR 110 RBIs
Brian McCann will have more value than Jorge Posada regardless of draft position

One of my sleepers for '06... (dig through my post history if you don't believe me!) though I mostly saw him as a guy you would start at home. He gets good sink action on his fastball, and is basically a groundball pitcher. He never really got his shot in Chicago, but had a few starts last year with all the injuries in Chi-town last year. He was basically hit or miss when he was on the mound -- he had some really good games and some not-so-hot ones.
He's making me look smart so far... but today's K-ratio might be a little misleading. Also, let's not get too use to this run support just yet. I don't think Willingham is going to be hitting two jacks for him every start!
I was really happy to see him go six in just 87 pitches, though! Maybe now that he's out from under Rothschild he's actually learning how to pitch instead of throw!

don't get your hopes up. he has skill, but nothing to get excited about. he's also not the smartest guy i've ever met. i ran into him and Jerome at a bar in St. Louis after a game and you could tell he didn't have a whole lot going on up there. Jerome was cool as hell tho.
TennCare rocks!!!!
