After years and years of playing, this was my first official royal flush ever, and the hand was basically the death knell for my opponent. I know there's quite a few poker players here, anyone have any good royal flush stories?
But I did have a king high straight flush once, and the other guy had the nut. It was beautiful, but it was the first hand, and we both went all in to the tune of only 25.00 each, so no great reward.
I've hit a few playing Hold 'Em online, and two in live games. Oddly enough, I've hit several in 7 card stud online, but I play far more hands of Hold 'Em than I do stud. Since it's still a 7 card game, that's a bit strange, but ah well.
Congrats again!

I had a friend who was new to poker and he flopped to a Royal Flush Draw in diamonds. I think he needed a jack or something. He folded. The jack came up.
There's really nothing else to say cause the second he folded, we knew the jack was going to come up.

the betting was that strong that he didn't even want to hang in for a plain flush?
