Is this the best hitting team you've seen in a 10 team league ? Not much speed, but everything else I have. This league on the offensive categories keeps track of avg/obp/hr/rbi/runs/sb
We have 10 hitters active per day. (2 utility)
Stats in 2005
C) Varitek 70r 22hr 70 rbi .281/.366
1b) Ortiz 119r 47hr 148 rbi .300/.397
2b) B. Roberts 92r 18hr 73rbi .314/.387 27sb
3b) Ensberg 86r 36hr 101rbi .283/.388
SS) M. Young 114r 24hr 91rbi .331/.385
OF) A. Jones 95r 51hr 128rbi .263/.347
OF) Griffey 85r 35hr 92rbi .301/.369
OF) Matsui 108r 23hr 116rbi .305/.367
Util) Hafner 94r 33hr 108rbi .305/.408
Util) C. Delgado 81r 33hr 115rbi .301/.399
Bench is:
J. Dye 74r 31hr 86rbi .274/.333
Gomes 61r 21hr 54rbi .282/.372 (in 2/3rds of season)
Aurilia 61r 14hr 68 rbi .282/.338
I averaged up the 10 starters above for season totals, which on average equals the approxmiate production per year for the team per player:
94 runs per player
32 HR per player
104 rbi's per player
.299 BA avg per player
.380 OBP avg per player
and a woefule 4 sb per player. (oh well, can't have everything)
Maybe, I'm wrong, but I think I have a tremendous offensive team in 5 of the 6 categories... or at least the best I've ever had, but whats your opinion ?
btw, my pitching staff of course suffes the wrath of all of this hitting....
I have:
SP = Ol. Perez, Patterson, Lowe, Suppan, Young(SD) and Burnett (on DL)
RP = Macdougal(DL), Fuentes, Baez, Majewski, Mercker, Eyre, T. Worrell, Benoit
Maybe they'll do okay for me.... but jury is out.
Thanks for any input, and I'll be glad to rate your team, just leave a link.
cheers,
From the friendly Mudhen staff.
