Schilling and Red Sox get a big win.

Well what did you guys think of Curt and the Red Sox today? Schilling looked great and Big Papi just being Big Papi going yard. Everything looked really good except Foulke. I hope he gets it together or we will be in trouble.

ya, it was a great game for the Sox. If foulke doesnt get it together tho, we might be in trouble. I hope Francona will keep him on a short leash and not hesitate to move someone like Papelbon into the role.

Defense looked a lot better too, it was so wierd to see only 3 players from 2004 in the lineup.

I understand why people think that foulke is a big factor in the success of the 06 red sox but i still don't get it. I mean if he can't get it done (so far not looking so good) papelbon could easily be slid into that closer role and dominate. His stuff is amazing. So I see how it would be bad if Foulke dosn't have it but I don't think it's as big a deal as people make it. Plus I'm sure Hansen and Delcarmen will be up there by the middle of the year and then their pen will be nasty. Other than that the sox pretty much answered alot of questions yesterday.

I agree Fenway, but I don't want to see Paplebon in the closer role, I want to see him starting games and looking as nasty as he did yesterday.
