Maybe Mo should play some good Panamanian music and just let Billy have his song... ;-7

It's so funny that a song has somehow drawn direct corellation to:

- It actually meaning something other than what song plays when he enters the ballgame
- 'The Mets' stealing 'The Yankees' song
- The Yankee players complaining about Wagner using the song (as if they give a flying crap)
- Billy Wagner welcoming comparison to Mariano Rivera (and viewing that as a knock on him)
- Billy Wagner wanting to be criticized for continuing the use of the song he's come out to for the identical amount of time as Mariano Rivera

Rirruto may be the only one actually viewing this for what it is; it's a load. The entire purpose of it being brought up were to stir half-witted conversations such as this very one. It's a song, gentlemen, a song. I'd feel fairly confident in thinking Mariano Rivera couldn't care less if Billy Wagner wore his number, and legally changed his name to Mariano Rivera, nevermind coming out to the same song as him (that he's come out to for the same number of years as Mo himself). You've got to love how things mysteriously escalate with compounding assumptions and general stupidity...

Who cares what song he's using. Mets fans, just be happy that he signed with your team and youre not stuck with Braden Looper.

What is Hoffman's song?

Hell's Bells?

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

You're trying to tell Mets fans this? Read the thread ;-7 That's the concensus, at least from guys like Amazinz, Rirruto, and myself. The song isn't going to make him, or Mo for that matter, save any more or fewer games.

It's just when people can't participate in actual baseball discussion, or say something substansive, and are presented with the opportunity to flap their gums about something they can take a concrete stance on easily, and throw things like 'respect' around with, they jump at the chance. Radio personalities do the exact same thing, because if they actually spoke about real issues, problems, and debates about baseball, etc., their fanbase would decrease by about 90%...

Yep that's it. Ok Wagner really needs to change his song because two Metallica songs versus one AC/DC song isn't fair. Bust out some G n' R Waggs baby! :-D

I have this theory that hold this as a main reason the world sucks right now.

(There are plenty of good things, I know, but are we were we want to be or morally know we could be with the amout of people who live below the poverty line?)

If he was going to the Yankees then he should change the song, but saying he should change the song cause he comes to the same city is just stupid. Thats like saying if someone comes to the Yankees who wore 31 their whole career they should change it because that was Mike Piazza's number.

Free country he can do what he wants...just don't complain when every other question he is asked by the media is a reference to his music or Mariano. A person with a little PR savy would avoid that comparison like bubonic plague. And it will get the juices flowing of the Yankee fans...not that we need any more reason to really dislike the team from Queens.

He wasn't asked about the song or Mariano after the game today....
