spivey is being designated for assignment in memphis. no word on if he will report or become a FA (since its pretty unlikely someone claims him off waivers). i think he will report. its hard to imagine he would find a better situation else where. he wont get a major league deal from anyone else so he is better off staying put since he knows the no one has a firm hold on the 2b job.

Is Miles going to consistently start at 2B for the time being? Or is there a platoon situation?

miles is expected to get the bulk of the playing time in the early going. luna will get the occasional start. it kind of depends on how they play. if miles keeps hitting then he will keep playing.
