Mark Teixiera's eligibility

Postby LCBOY » Fri Jul 11, 2003 6:14 pm

According to the Texas home site Teirxiera has played at he following positions:

1B- 47 games
OF- 21 games
3B- 12 games

So why is he not eligible for the OF in Yahoo leagues? I understand that when he was listed initially on Yahoo, it was at 3B. But if he doesn't play three games at 3B this year, does that mean he will not be eligible at 3B next season?

If you look under "situational stats" at bigleaguers.com it shows that Teixeira has played something like 11 games in LF and 10 in RF...he needs 15 games at ONE position to get eligibility. It doesn't matter to me much though, b/c his value is only at 3B...there are tons of better outfielders right now. He is gonna be a stud though, that's for sure.

I was thinking about next year. He could have Pujols type fantasy value next year if he were to be eligible at three postions.
