KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Just got here from Florida. As you may have heard, the Tigers are going to call up Jordan Tata to replace Jones on the roster. The two guys they considered were Tata and Wilfredo Ledezma, because Roman Colon has a little tenderness in his arm.
Rodney gets first chance as the closer, but Leyland said he wouldn't be scared to use Joel Zumaya, either.
Leyland also confirmed that he's going to use the lineup he used Saturday: Granderson, Polanco, Rodriguez, Ordonez, Young, Shelton, Guillen, Monroe, Inge.

It's just too easy, eh?
I do like that Leyland seems to want to bring up the talent that is playing best regardless of experience, at least with his pitchers.
Yes, that is true, but hopefully this is a very short term thing. From what I understand, German sucks (and was claimed by Florida on waivers), Colon isn't 100%, they just don't like Woodyard (or whatever his name is), and Ledezma just isn't an option at this moment. I don't doubt Tata's talent because he has the stuff and numbers to back it up, so maybe it was simply Leyland's call to go with the most talented guy? I hope he comes out and pitches well when he finally gets out there
