Need help with some moves for this brand new keeper squad

Postby jrule465 » Sun Apr 02, 2006 3:45 pm

Brand new keeper league squad we keep 7 every year. 12 teams 6x6 league with the extra stat categories being total bases and quality starts. I know my pitching is weak but I feel I have some high upside guys and my offense can carry me.
I am aware Joe Randa isnt a solid 3rd basemen, but he was my last round pick as all the quality 3rd basemen went off the board early. I will look for trades to possibly swing a better 3rd basemen with my abundance of CI power Sexson or Hafner.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Please post a link and i will return the favor.

C Michael Barrett
1b Mark Texeria
2nd Chase Utley
3rd Joe Randa
SS Julio Lugo

OF Luis Gonzalez
Utl Travis Hafner

SP Barry Zito
SP Scott Kazmir
SP Noah Lowry
SP Matt Cain
SP Kelvim Escobar
SP Daniel Cabrera
RP Joe Nathan
RP Chad Cordero
RP Ryan Madson

Bench Francisco Liriano

I don't think your pitching is as bad as all that. There's a lot of potentioal there, you just don't have any proven commodities. Sexon is definitely your most tradeable player. You could also drop laroche or nevin in favor of pitching or a MI.

yeah your teams hard to judge for me, i want to agree that your weak in pitching, but with a 12 man league you have to expect some holes, your upside there seems pretty good and i dont think your all that bad off if i were to see the other teams...
as for your offense, i think your OF looks a bit weak in power and such, you have stud IF's but have you thought about turning them into some more powerful OF's? but your scarcity power would be hard to give up... you may should just hold out and see how things are going before any trades...

obviously you need help at 3rd, and you lack a true stud pitcher, but other than that this team is solid...good power, good speed, good all around
