My first team in a couple years, how did I do?? Can I win

Postby CaptainWeed » Sun Apr 02, 2006 3:07 pm

I got back into the whole fantasy baseball thing after a year break and just had my first draft. how did I do? and what canb I improve on?? Its a 12 team h2h league with the following categories...
runs, hits, 1b, 2b, 3b, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, Slg and
GS, wins, CG, SHO, SV, outs, HR, K, ERA, and WHIP

C- Willingham
1B-Helton
2B- Soriano
SS-Jeter
3B-A-rod
OF-Beltran
OF-Crisp
OF-Mench
OF-Drew
UT-Crosby
BN-D. Johnson, B. Hall, Gibbons, Juan Rivera

SP-Schmidt, Haren, Vazquez, Dempster, O. Perez, Kelvin Escobar, G. Flooyd
RP-Wagner, Nathan, Valverde, Paplebon

I think my Starting pitchign is a little weak, but I can do some add/dropping if I haev to to get the stats like wins, k's etc and end up punting era/whip but what do you guys think?

i'm not a big fan of your outfield at all. Beltran is the only one that should have a big year (if healthy)

You don't really have much pitching either, if i were you i'd bite the bullet and trade A-rod and get as much as possible for him, as wlel as a quality sub at third. maybe you can get a solid 3B, another hitter to replace crosby at utility (he sucks in my opinion) and a quality starter all for a-rod. If you can't get that much than see who's on free agents (Check for Hermida, Granderson or Brady clark in the outfiled) or see who's there for pitching.

other than that, very solid infield.

hmm IO had heard good things about gibbons and mench as sleepers and even Drew for having a good year, I realize my SP is a little shaky...any other opinions?

Not very strong. Okay pop but not much in terms of pitchers. Hitting is alright, but do anything you can to get better pitching.
