From Rotoworld:
The Mets reportedly are close to sending Armando Benitez to the Giants in a three-team trade. Felix Rodriguez would become a Yankee and the Mets would receive prospects.
The Marlins are also said to still be pursuing Benitez. The Bergen Record's Bob Klapisch predicts that a deal could happen this weekend and says that if the Giants do acquire Benitez, they'll use him as a setup man. Source: Bergen Record
So who's gonna take over as the Mets closer? Is it David Weathers? Are any of the potential replaciements worth picking up?

In answer to your question, yeah, Dave Weathers appears to be the man. I have also read that Johnny Franco might help out here and there with lefties, but if you're a scavenger like me scoop up Weathers and hope for the best.
By the way, if there was a song that went with this trade, it'd be the Bee Gees' "Tragedy". A setup guy?? I might as well just flush saves down the toilet...
