Just finished retooling for the season! WHIR

Postby 123inningplz » Sun Apr 02, 2006 2:06 am

20 team, h2h, 9x8, Yahoo! redraft league. Just finished retooling my team with 3 trades and a bunch of FA pickups and wanted to know if I improved or not. I ended up punting saves (unless Shields, Cabrera and/or Devine get some saves), I think my starting pitching is deeper with Oswalt as the ace, and I like my offense. Anyway, leave a link and I'll reply to yours.

SP - John Smoltz

I like the Kent/Haren for Oswalt/Drew deal alot,

1 thing, I think I read that Devinne might be starting in the Minors, may need an RP somewhere else.

I love your starters for a 20 team legue

However, I hate Lowell this year. Reports out of springing training are not good. Bat looks very slow, and he's having trouble turning on inside Fastballs.

I have a feeling he could lose his Job by mid to late April, I would start thinking of a back up plan now.

I too like your SP for a 20 team league - It's great! Fransisco Cabrera is interesting, he could be closing soon.

Help?

I like the improvement, but I'd be worried about Lowell. He hasn't hit well at all for the past year and half and his bat speed is apparently waaay down. He may not have a job in a few months.

Update:
- dumped Kotchman
- picked up Eaton and promptly stashed him on the DL
- picked up Brian Anderson (ChiSox) right after he was dumped (league has no WW)

Also, I know it's just one game, but I liked what I saw from Lowell :-)

Thanks for the Help. Just a few things I see. First i really like the team. DLee and Hafner are great in a 20 team league. I a little scared about Vidro and weather he can do anything. Also I'm a big Boston fan and worried about Lowell. I just dont think He'll hit for that much power. Although he proved me wrong last night, and i hope he keeps doing so. I like Granderson and like he should be a 20/20 type guy, which would be great rook production. Keep and eye on Kotchman. Im high on him and I think that you might wanna end up getting him back. Overall great team and thanks again for the help.
