I was just experimenting on this one and I tried an iPod effect, but I don't think it turned out too well...

I think the problem with the shadow one, it could look good but you only did the arm. One thing you could try is just copy the layer, put a drop shadow and then change the fill of the layer to 0%(not the opacity, cause this will keep the layer effects on), or you could just Gaussian Blur it with like 4-5 pixels and put it on multiply. After doing that just transform it. You may have to make the Harden smaller but just keep trying it. It may end up looking good Otherwise it looks pretty good
