What is the situation for the whitesox closer job?

Is it jenks or cotts or someone else. I need a third rp and maybe i can jump on someone who will get the job down the road.

It's a mess...at this time, I'm betting whatever portion of our $20 league fee that on RP for a while is worth (a nickle?) that it's Cotts although nobody's been sent down/ kicked to the curb/ dealt just yet. I was in Chicago last week and read some stories as I recounted here

Its still Jenks job to lose, but i think he'll do just fine, if you base everything of spring training, there are gonna be ALOT of broken hearts out there, not just pitchers

I dunno, I think working on a new pitch and getting pounded in ST is a bit different than coming back out of shape from eating donuts and getting shelled. Then again, Ozzie occasionally seems a bit out there, maybe he's trying to get people to discount Jenks? :-?

From listening to Ozzie on sports radio the other day, it sounds like Jenks will start the season as the closer, but will be on a very short leash. Likely #2 candidate is Neil Cotts, especially if these other lefty relievers they've got pan out (forget their names, but they were both surprises in ST, and the Sox seem pretty high on them). Hermanson seems to be running a distant #3, but I wouldn't count him completely out.
(taps little picture of a microphone)... is this thing on?

I find it amazing he actually gained 25 pounds before camp. What a moron.

Ozzie Guillen told Joe Morgan during last night's game that Jenks was his closer.
