I think if he gets over 500 AB's, we may see a 20 HR, 85-95 RBI and a .275+ ave with 10+ SB's. How do you feel. I think he's a deep sleeper..

I think he may become a decent option at 2b, but I am not as high on the expectations for 06 as you are. I picked him up late in most of my drafts and am hoping for 15 homers, 10 steals, 275 avg and hopefully if he hits in a good spot 80 runs scored.

That seems pretty reasonable. I may be a tad high on the RBI's and he may end up with 70+ or so. I just like this guy alot and think from watching him in several ST games and last year during the regular season he may surprise alot of people out there. The Bucs lineup is not half bad and with Casey and Bay in front of him, I think he will have a decent shot at some nice numbers.

HE will be ok top 15 for 2 bagers but he won't be like cantu because he won't bat high enough in the order like cantu did to get that many RBIs.

I have my eye on this guy. I currently have Loretta, so I may need to make a change if he isn't back to his 03-04 form. Castillo has tremendous upside IMO. 20 HR's may be stretch, but 15-16 could be feasible. I believe he is slated to bat 7th or 8th right now.

Didnt Cantu hit 28 HR and 117 RBI, not 20 and 75-95? ;-D

During ST he's been batting mostly 7th and a few times at 6th. I think if he starts to show power early he may be bumped up to the 6th spot in that lineup. I think it will be no problem for him to hit above the Buc's catcher (Doumit) and could easily surpass Randa. I just think with Casey, Bay & Burnitz in front of him he may have a productive season. The other day he hit a decent Curt Schilling very well (2-3 w/ RBI)and stole a bag.. Look out for this kid!

I did not say EXACTLY his #'s :-? , just that he's be a 2nd baseman with decent power that could catch people by surprise.

I really don't think it matters where Castillo bats in the lineup. Besides Bay, anyone with a hot bat could get moved up to third 4th or 5th in that lineup. Lets all remember that Cantu almost didn't get the 2nd base job last spring and when he did, he was batting way down in the order.

This is just it... the guy has the speed but wasn't stealing too much last season. If he can bring it up to 15 SBs then yeah, he'll be a pretty good deep sleeper. As of now he's slightly better than Alex Gonzalez in the average department, but that's about it. Good for the desperate at 2B/MI, but right now it's mostly a wait and see on this guy. Heck, I've got him on my bench for just that purpose. ;-D
