It sounds like you know what you're doing. Your hitting is good your pitching is weak I feel.
Like you said, pitching is deep in that some guys just go off like Jon Garland and if you can pick em up quick your staff is fine. Good luck and watch that WW for pitching gems

Starters pretty weak.. Smoltz is not a #1 guy. Other than that, a great team. You should win most of the batting categories.

To tell you the truth, you don't need a #1 ace to win in pitching. If you are willing to log in everyday to drop and pick up two or three pitchers, you should win K's and W's every week. ERA and WHIP is just bonus.

Your offense would've been sick if it was a keeper.
Closing is decent, but really, just stick to my strat, pick up based on matchup's and you'll be at least a top 3 team in you're league assuming the injury bug stays way.

Your hitting is extremely solid. I wouldn't change a thing.

Unfortunately, your pitching needs a little help. I like Seo and Patterson. Smoltz will put up solid numbers.

Chacon, Mussina, and Capuano are risks. Mussina has been declining for a couple of yrs now, and I don't see him getting better. I don't think Chacon will be as good this season as he was last season, since his adjusted career stats don't support the sort of performance he put up in 2005. I think Capuano is good, but probably not going to win 18 again. If you want a Milwaukee pitcher, get Doug Davis.

Your closers may need a little work too. While Wickman had 45 saves, he just isn't all that great. He puts too many runners oin base. My suggestion would be to package him with Capuano and see if you can get another 2nd tier closer and a SP with potential. Ray is unproven, but I thnk he can do an adequate job.

I like your hitting a lot. If you can, for your pitching, try playing the matchup game. As is, your pitching probably won't be able to compete, so you're either going to want to be an add/drop maniac or hope to pick up a great mid-season prospect.
