The sox are really excited about this kid. Compares with Jon Lester, the kid in the minors who is touted as one of the best P prospects in the minors.
Papelbon throws a heavy ball that seems to have some extra action when approaching the plate. The Sox are grooming him to be a front of the rotation starter, but in all likelihood, he will probably end up at the back end of the 'pen by the ALL Star break.
If they determine he isn't ready, then Timlin would take over, as he did last year when Foulke went down....
I really don't see Hnasen as a factor this year. He has nasty stuff, but the Sox are not the A's, and have the win at all costs mentality that dictates Hansen needs more seasoning until he is clearly the back end guy.
