this is a very funny rant.
Wow, even acronyms and cleverly placed asterisks are off limits?
In any case, won't happen again.
Exactly. Acronyms, asterisks, etc., have always been off limits because people still know what you're trying to say. Notice the Sam Jackson thread got locked because people were acting like children in it, instead of just using something a little more appropriate?
Thanks for the cooperation.
Well chit, mang.
Isnt his name Chit Mang Wang?

Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
To get back to the guy's question, I think writing a letter saying you were sorry may have been a mistake. It really depends on the tone. If your letter indicates you were wrong in some way, this can be used against you. If it was more of a here's what happened and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding (but I didn't do anything wrong), then that might be ok.
It doesn't seem like a big deal, so I'm not sure why you think you'd be fired for it. My advice is to be prepared for the next time (practice what you will say, how you will say it, what you will do, etc.).
