You could certainly use one, but I don't know if you really need to. Howard, Utley, and ARod are going to supply a lot of HR for you, and with Sizemore's ceiling really high for all numbers, you never know what he might do for you.
you heard it here...
Seattle Mariners 2007 World Series Champs!
Felix Hernandez = 35 wins, 400K!
i can dream...
You seem to be average in power, you have 3 guys who will have at least 30 hr. I think you can use another guy who can hit 30hr. Who's available as FA or trade?
I think your team is pretty solid. I think Barrett will get you more HR's then you are probably projecting. Maybe think about trading a pitcher and Hermidia for a more powerful OF. Biggio or Gibbons would be my first 2 FA choices if you went that route.
you have great hitting with Howard, Utley and Arod, but after that its just alright. you have great speed with Figgins and Sizemore, but one more bat will really help you out. your RP and SP are pretty good maybe just one more bat.
What is your projection/hopes for Burgos. I dont know much about him, but I need a RP in my lineup badly and he is available in my league. Do you rate him higher than a J. Borowski or R. Soriano?
Burgos took over from McDougal and from what I hear he's doing well. McDougal may have to fight for the closer spot when he gets back. Now we are talking about KC....... I'm also thinking that by the time McDougal gets the closer spot that Cotts will have taken over from Jenks.
I've been grabbing two decent/reliable closers and then wait to see what is left in the later rounds. I can usually get Burgos in the last rnd. Of the three you mentioned I'd go.
J. Borowski
A. Burgos
R. Soriano
Borowski and Burgos are both closers starting the season. Guardado is still closer in Seattle last I heard. Another team to watch for closers is TB, but they may start with a platoon situation.
