Our draft was a couple weeks ago and I tried to draft low depth positions early. Unfortunately, there wasn't a great amount of pitching depth, but my understanding was that once you got past the top pitchers, it could be pretty much a crap-shoot. I did add to my depth in pitching later, but I understand it isn't top notch. What do you think?

very good for your first draft...If you look where your players rank at their positions you did extremely well on offense. And yes after the top pitchers (Johan,Carpenter, Oswalt, etc.) you can wait until the middle rounds and still get aces like Zito, Leiber, etc. But you have the #1 fantasy catcher in Vmart, the #2 fantasy SS in M. Young, the #2 fantasy 3B in Wright, and Konerko and Giles are top 4 at their positions. I dont love your OF, Id check the waiver wire and see if there are some sleepers out there...granderson, hermida, etc. You def. need another closer, I'd consider trading Chavez for a front line closer, probably to the team that is hurting the most at 3B.

Yeah, I'm not in love with the OF either. I was actually looking to trade Roberts and/or Chavez for a CF and RP because Hunter appears to have tweaked his ankle. Jacque Jones is still on WW, along with Bradley and some others. For as late in the draft as I went with OF, I was happy to have picked up Jenkins and I got Guillen off the ww. Tried a couple trade offers, but not too many people are budging yet. I may wait and see how the first couple weeks play out.

Orvella is still on WW. Should I go with him over Reitsma?

What he said. Put Reitsma in the lineup at one of your P spots. Look on the wire for some OF and some relief pitchers like Devine, Miceli, Orvella and Burgos.
