You have a good team. Your hitting is top notch, but I'd maybe trade one of your OF bats for a closer. You have Hermida and Wilkerson on the bench that could slide in and do a really good job for you in the OF. Get you another closer and you'll have a good mix of starters and relief pitchers.
I assume 5x5 roto. I think your team looks really good but has a couple weaknesses.
Your offense looks dominant. You have power at almost every position, plenty of run scorers, and speed. All 5 categories covered. Dunn and Giambi will probably lower that average a bit though, but I think the rest of your offense can compensate for that.
Your SP looks great. Carpenter and Sheets is a good 1-2 punch. I am not sure about Schilling and Contreras, but I am a Yankee fan so might have a little bias against them. Your RP looks good for ERA WHIP, but you definitely need more closers than just Hoffman.
I assume right now you decided to punt SV? I would look to trade some of your offensive weapons (Damon or Dunn) for some good closers, or check the waivers to see if any are available. Potential unclaimed ones are Valverde, M. Gonzalez, Burgos (MacDougal when he's healthy), Orvella (but he might not win the job).
Solid team! Definitely need another closer though. Perhaps you should wait and see who is this year's Turnbow on the wire...I'd probably package one of your OF and get a 3B/Closer if possible.
Carpenter and Sheets are your two aces and strongest by far so it looks like you'll be depending on them a lot. I love Schilling, as a fan, and I'm thinking he will return to his old form this year but there are doubts as to his health still. Contreras, Bonderman, and Lowe are all decent starters and should provide some decent help. Not such a fan of Wakefield or your relievers. If Schilling, Carpenter, and Sheets have a good year and you upgrade your relief pitchers, you have a decent shot at winning.
Not looking too bad for the most part. I think i'm in the minority when i say that i'm not sold on Atkins.
I'll assume you kept Pujols, Utley, Guerrero and Reyes, because there's no WAY you'd get them all on the same team in a re-draft.
Your RP makes me a little, but options are available to you. Since your offense is so potent, you even have stuff on the bench that can be traded to shore up that dept. See how the season starts out before making a deal, however. But then again, like someone before me posted, it's only H2H, so you won't really need saves that much. You might luck out and get enough from Hoffman in a week to win the category, you never know.
Your SP is okay for now, but with Sheets hitting the DL officially today, you might struggle for a little bit.
All in all though, i wouldn't change a thing until the season gets underway and you see what you may need. Good job.
im a little weary of your pitching for a few reasons
1) injuries...sheets is already on the DL and who knows how schillings ankle will do (although its looked alright in spring training....but who knows once the wear and tear of the season sets in)
2)saves...punt them....trade hoffman if you can, hes 38 or 39 and im 50/50 about whether or not he can hold it together for a whole year...try to trade some of your extra hitting for some pitching strength, especially at starter
that said, i think with your unique set up with the middle relievers, i think you have a shot....you should win hitting most of the time and your era and whip should be low due to the MRs you have
