I haven't heard anything about this guy recently on teh cafe. I see his spring training ratios are all over the place. An ERA over 5.00, with a high WHIP, but he did have good K/9 and K:BB ratios. What are people expecting from this guy this year and possibly next?

"They" say he's most comparable to Jake Peavy. We'll see.

I think you'll get about what you're seeing. Kids got good stuff but is still adjusting to the bigs. Ratios were pretty high last year in 133 innings but he still won 12 games and struck out a good number.

I don't think he's major league ready yet, but may get better as the year goes on. Better pick in a keeper league than redraft. Worth a late round flyer. He's getting drafted in most of my 12 man leagues, I anticipate he'll hit the wire by June then I'll keep an eye on him.

Next year I'll be targeting him. I say he is a stud by 2008 (without injury).
