I like your team quite a bit. I'd look to pick up a catcher who may not kill your average like Piazza. Also, its a little odd to have Jaque Jones in a 12 team league, especially since your other bench player is an OF as well. Im sure someone on free agency could help your team a bit more than Jones, like a good Middle-Reliever. Nice job though and thanks for responding to my thread.

Yeah, I definately agree with you. Piazza and Jones were my last two picks respectively. Our waivers are locked until April 2nd, so I'm going to do some shuffling then. I usually don't like to carry backup OF's like Jones because they are usually a dime a dozen on waivers. I usually hold onto middle relievers next in line for closer jobs.

Any other suggestions?

Nice team. I like your RP, but why so many? You have 5 closers. I think I would have tried to get another bat, maybe you can package one with a bat for an upgrade.

In roto, i don't think its a bad idea to have 5 rp, but you have to be careful that you aren't sacrificing era and whip for only saves... pretty balanced offensively, might need some more stolen bases to compete for top half in that category. good team

Team looks balanced if Beltran steals 25+. Otherwise, you could package one of your relievers for someone with speed. Pierre?

I think that you have a solid team, but it does have some weaknesses:

1. I don't think you should rely on Piazza as your C. He will not be playing full-time, and the move to SD won't help his stats one bit. I'd try and trade for another C, or at least get a backup.

2. Your OF will have problems with HRs. The only guys who are guaranteed to hit HRs for you are Tex and Hafner. I'd try and get at least one more slugger.

Other than that, it's solid. Your pitching has just the right mix of vets and sleepers.

I do like your team -- you're pitching is great, but you might want to give some up for a better IF. Maybe package Iguchi and an RP for a better 2B.

I agree with your assessment of my outfield. I'm trying to find some power out there for my OF, but I'm having a hard time finding matches for trade. I might have to ride it out for a few weeks for my players to build up some trade value.
