He's got a spot in the rotation. People only seem to want to talk about Liriano, but this is the guy that won the job. What does everyone think of this kid?

Does not have as high a ceiling as Liriano, but he's a solid guy. Reminds me of Mussina/Maddux, though I'm not suggesting he's that good.

I think he is an excellent cheap pickup this season, as everyone focuses on Liariano. Fact is, Baker has the job for now, pitched well last year, has a very solid skill set, and he could easily pass Lohse in the rotation even if Liriano makes it in. The Central Div. is full of poor hitting parks now (KC, Det, Cle).

Excellent control with decent stuff. I expect him to continue his success from last year. There aren't alot of rookie pitchers I go after, but he is the one that I did. He has thrown nearly 200 innings at AAA, and was dominant at every stop along the way. I expect HUGE things from Baker in the future. He won't strike out as many as Liriano or Felix, but I compare him to Halladay. Enough stuff to strike guys out a decent amount, and enough control to not walk anybody and keep the ball in the park.
