OK, Freel is a FAR better player than Womack and he played well enough today with a hit, two walks, 3 runs scored and an SB. What are the Reds smoking? Just start Freel already. Why are they so high on aging losers like Womack and Aurilia? I drafted Freel as a starter, but I can only assume Reds will wake up and relegate Womack to what he's should be doing; pinch hitting for tired pitchers in the 6th inning.... or better, just letting the pitcher hit and have Womack pinch run.

Luckily I started him in one of my leagues today. Very frustrating. I'm a big fan of his and I can't believe he doesn't start on a MLB team.
The stupid thing is that this is pretty typical of what he does for a team. When he started last year it seemed like he was always doing something, whether it be walking, stealing, scoring, etc. If he's a starter on your team, you're happy. I guess I've come to the conclusion that the Red's don't like happiness.
Yeah, this is killing me. I had no idea he wasn't a starter until I'm looking online during the game opening day. So I figure I better pick up a back up 2B that starts to be safe. I get Durham and start him and then Freel freakin' starts yesterday and was good for 10 points in my league, while sitting on my bench. I don't know what to do with him. Also, I was wondering who anybody would recommend as a replacement? Right now I have Durham, but I was thinking of grabbing Mueller when he's off of waivers. What do you think, Mueller or Durham? Thanks.
Even if he stays in the utility role I like Freel to get 450 AB. Hopefully he continues to play well and forces their hands. He'll probably steal 60 if plays full-time.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
