I doubt Swisher has Dunn power. Not sure about his arm but he's a good fielder though his range might be a concern.

I'll second what Amazinz said Gotham Baseball hasn't posted a rumor that has come true in a long time.

Milledge isn't going anywhere. That's been said time and time again by Omar.

I like that trade for both sides but I don't see it happening. The A's want to win this year and feel that they're there now.

Zito is a free agent after this season. Why pay all that for someone you can get for just cash at the end of the year?

Well, I think the Mets want to win now and I don't think they have a chance with thier present rotation.

I'm tired of seeing the words 'Milledge' and 'trade' in the same sentence. It's not going to happen. I mean, I've been wrong once before, but, it's not going to happen.

Guys that may be available come the deadline:

Maddux (Cubs will not re-sign him and they will be buried in the Central)
Davis (Brewers not going to pay I should think)
Schmidt (depending on how well the Giants do)

From what I have seen, Swisher has a solid throwing arm. I have also read reports that if Swisher made the switch to 1B, he would become one of the best defensive 1B's in the game.

As for Herrera, his value is mainly tied up in his excellent defense. Good range and a cannon for an arm. He would start in CF over Milledge I would say. But this trade isn't happening, so whatever. :-D

Waiting till the end of the year doesn't help this year.
