Wanted to get some info on Bedard from you O's fans or anyone else.

This guy went undrafted in a couple of leagues I'm in. In my 10 team keeper I'm keeping my eye on him.

This spring his stats haven't been too bad with 20 innings thrown, 19 Ks and 6 BBs - nice ratio.

Age 27 year.

Solid K/9, decreased his BB/9 last season.

I've heard scouts have been high on his potential.

Was great last season before the AS break, but came back with command issues. Was he injured around the break?

What are people's thoughts?

He never has and probably never will stay healthy enough to put together a great year, you should be able to pull a nice streak out of him though...just stay away from about 33+% of the teams he plays and their home parks.

Have his injuries been arm problems?

He's a TJ boy, I know that. I'd have to research the rest.

Last year's injury was to his knee. He wasn't even close to the same pitcher after his return. He's looked great this spring, though, and is a great sleeper for this year.

He also doesn't fair well against righties. And there are some big right handers in the East.

You'd think that but, his career Whip vs lefties is much higher than vs righies and the BAA vs righties is .003 lower. :-?
