Postby b8080499 » Thu Mar 30, 2006 6:34 pm

Hey guys,

Im somewhat new to fantasy baseball so I could use any help.

C: Johjima
1B: Helton
2B: Roberts
3B: Cabrera
SS: Crosby
OF: Bay,Crisp, Ordonez
Util: Thome
Bench: Hermida, Cano

SP: Harden, Felix Hernandez
RP: Street, Gagne
Theres 3 P slots I could fill with : Hudson, Gonzalez, Burgos, Liriano, Oliver Perez or Seo

I've been getting a lot of offers for Felix. Should I move him for a hitter? or am I ok for now?

thanks in advance guys

Your hitting is very good. You don't have to move Felix for a hitter, but if your getting a lot of offers for him I would suggest coupling him with another one of your players to get a top pitcher like Peavy or Halladay or someone. I am not a big Felix fan.

Unless the offer is great I'd keep Felix. Your hitting is solid and I think your pitching is great with Harden and Felix heading it up.

I wouldn’t trade Felix… if anything, pitching is you’re weak spot…. Personally, I think I’d trade Roberts… I think he’s on a downward slope and Cano is a good replacement. I expect Thome to come out strong, but I think he’ll fade as the season goes on, so I’d think about trading him around the all star break… Even though I love Cabrera, this year, the Marlins are so bad I might look to trade him (assuming it’s not a keeper league) He just doesn’t have anybody protecting him and could get pitched around a lot… That would mean a stratospheric OBP, but lower stats elsewhere.

I'm really really curious how anyone could be down on Felix. Sure, you might think he's a risk...but he has shown zero signs of not being a stud. He was nothing short of Ace like at the end of last season. He's only going to get better.

That said, what are some of the offers that you are getting for him? My guess is that people are low balling you trying to steal him. Post some offers though, I'd be curious to see them.
