DL players that might be keepers

Postby wurthit » Thu Mar 30, 2006 4:43 pm

I know its early, but say a top player goes on the DL in the mid season, say like rolen did last year. Would it be worth grabbing off the Waiver wire stashing on team for next year? Its all theory right now thou.

Cesar Itzuris will be back with the Dodgers by Mid May. He wouldnt be a bad pickup, stash him away on the DL.

it really depends on the player as well as how many players you keep. if you only keep less than 5 then normally you have some better options than keeping a player on the DL all year (however, a pujols, arod, etc. should certainly be kept.) a player like rolen is borderline and it once again depends on how many you keep.

Why aren't players like Wolf and Dotel on the DL yet when Bagwell and Proir are??? Is this just teams being lazy? There is no way either of them start the season.
